Do I need a doctor’s referral to see a health care practitioner at Stasis Rehab?
No. Physiotherapists, RMTs, Chiropractors, Occupational Therapists and Clinical Counsellors are primary healthcare providers which means, no referrals are required. However, some extended health insurance plans may require a referral prior to reimbursement.
Does Stasis Rehab do direct billing?
Stasis Rehab is able to directly bill most medical plans for our patients. By supplying us the policy and ID numbers we can set up a direct billing account for you.
Is there parking available?
There is free parking (up to 3 hours) both in front of the unit and additional parking behind the building.
I was injured at work and have a Worksafe BC claim, what information do I need to provide in order to book an appointment?
You must bring you claim number, referral from your doctor and documentation from Worksafe BC stating your approval for the treatment service. If you have any questions about your claim, please refer to www.worksafebc.com
I was in a motor vehicle accident, what information do I need to provide in order to book an appointment?
You must bring your claim number, documentation from ICBC stating your approval for the treatment service, adjustor’s name and number. If you have any questions about your claim, please call your adjustor directly before your appointment.
What is the cancellation policy?
Please provide 24 hours notice for cancellation of appointments, otherwise a charge will be applied.
How many treatments will I need?
This requires a very individualized and multifactorial response. This will depend on your injury, your medical and physical condition, what you need to return to and your goals. Your Physiotherapist will be able to give you an idea of the number of visits and a likely time frame after your assessment.
What should I wear?
Please wear comfortable clothing for your assessment and treatment, as well as active footwear.
Do I need to completely undress for my massage?
Each patient should undress to their own desired level of comfort. You will undress and dress in the privacy of your massage room and will be securely covered by a blanket and a sheet during your massage session.
